Configure order attribute
Navigate to Setup > Organization
Press the Order Attributes button
Create a new Order Attribute
Select type picklist
Unselect “Allow other values”
Press “Add Option” for each variation
Press Save
Next, configure changeovers for the variations
Navigate to Setup > Changeovers
Create Standard Changeovers for each variation. See below for example:

Overview of finished product
For each variation, ensure the following is correct
A descriptive name
Select one of the Changeover Types created in the previous step
Select the “Advanced” checkbox
In the “Orders Matching” field, enter a filter referencing the Order Attribute name and one of the picklist values entered in step 1.
For binary values, like “high” vs “low” crew, it is suggested to create a pair of changeover rules, one with a positive pattern and one with a negative pattern. For example:
Positive:
Changeover_Crew:Heavy
Negative:
-Changeover_Crew:Heavy
Note: the
-
character in the negative rule. This rule becomes the default rule because it matches blank values andLight
crew.Note: Any spaces in the changeover name are replaced with underscores
Note: the patterns are case-sensitive.

Configure the schedule to show the rule
Configure columns for the line or line group you’re using:
Drag the Order Attribute created in step one to the appropriate place
Double-click on a cell in this column to adjust the value for this order. Select a value and press enter. Now the changeover criteria will be re-evaluated and the changeover will be updated.
