Orders Import

Here you will find definitions for all mapping options in Phenix’s Order Import. This import is used to bring in orders from an outside system that must be scheduled, such as those from an MRP system.

For more information on importing orders, see Importing New Orders.

Definitions

Material Identifier: The unique identifier of the material the order is for.

Quantity Value: The amount ordered.

Quantity Units: The order’s unit of measure.

New Attribute: Creates a new order attribute. Commonly used for processing notes. Order attributes can also be created in “Organization”, under “Setup” in the left-hand menu of Phenix.

Order Identifier: Optional. The unique identifier of the order. If specified, forces Phenix to update and change the order with that unique identifier, if it exists.

Status: Optional. Indicates if the orders should be created as an unscheduled order, a scheduled order, a committed order, a completed order, or a canceled order. Default is unscheduled. You can read more about this on the Maintain Organizations page. This option can be used to import ERP orders that were scheduled and/or firmed in ERP with the respective status.

Description: Optional. The plain description of the order.

Due Date: The date the order must be completed or else be considered overdue. Required except when order is brought in with status “committed” or “scheduled”, and has a scheduled date.

Line Identifier: The line the order should be filled on. Overrides the wheel routing, if present. Order can still be moved from this line in scheduling.

Import Scheduled Date: When an order is brought in with status “committed” or “scheduled”, this date is required to determine where to place it in the schedule.

Import Priority in Day: If several orders are brought in with status “committed” or “scheduled”, and have the same import scheduled date, this value is used to determine the sequence in which the orders are scheduled, from lowest to highest.

Custom Pattern: Advanced. A complex method of configuring an order. Not necessary for most situations.

The first two lines are unscheduled orders. These will appear on Phenix’s Scheduling page in the bottom “Unscheduled” section of the list view.

The third line is a committed order. It will be brought in and placed on the schedule at the “Import Scheduled Date”. If other orders are scheduled, they will be placed around the order and will not shift it from its location in the schedule. A committed order must be uncommitted to be rescheduled.
