Move Orders to Another Line

For capacity management it is sometimes necessary to move orders to another line:

  • To offload capacity from an overloaded line.

  • To consolidate orders and increase a line's utilization.

Instructions

  1. Schedule all of the lines involved in the move.

  2. Select the orders to be moved.

  3. Click on the three dots menu icon at the right-hand side of the screen.

  4. Select “Move to Another Line”.

  5. In the window that pops up, select the line you wish to move the orders to.

  6. Select how the orders will be moved:

    1. “Place at end of the corresponding cycle” will move orders to the end of the cycle that contains their due date.

    2. “Move to unscheduled” will move the orders to the unscheduled section of the lines scheduling page.

  7. Click on “Confirm” to move the orders.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: The line has a line operating mode, and cumulative consumption is not correct after moving the orders
Answer: Review the line mode of the moved orders. Note that cumulative consumption resets when line mode changes.
